September 8, Friends of the Detroit River Fall Dinner Boat Cruise

The Friends of the Detroit River are hosting their Fall Dinner Boat Cruise on the evening of Thursday September 8, 2016. Guests are treated to dinner while cruising the Detroit River and learn about environmental initiatives with members and supporters. We’ve been working with our partners to improve fish populations in the Detroit River. Did you know that based on most recent estimates by scientists indicate there are over 6,000 Lake Sturgeon in the Detroit River? Lake Sturgeon were almost extripated from the river but thanks to habitat restoration efforts, including installing spawning reefs, there is now a healthy population in the #DetroitRiver.
