What would YOU do if you were walking by the Little River and saw any of these “how it started” photos? Founding members of the Little River Enhancement Group DID do something and here’s how it’s going now! Since 1990, volunteers have participated in 101 planting events and have planted 44669 trees and shrubs. Members have also provided outreach and education opportunities for thousands of students, families, partners and individuals and is a leading example of watershed stewardship in the region!
Currently, Lil’ Reg members sit on the Detroit River Canadian Cleanup Public Advisory Council (DRCC PAC) and support the Detroit River Remedial Action Plan. They provide input and critically evaluate the progress of the RAP and they promote community action through supporting events and volunteering with outreach projects. 👏
