Backyard Stewardship and Habitat Creation

All are welcome to attend the upcoming Backyard Stewardship and Habitat Creation presentation hosted by ERCA and Darlene Bernyk from Native Trees and Plants. This event will take place on Tuesday February 28th from 6pm to 8pm in Committee Room C (second floor) at the Essex Civic Centre, 360 Fairview Avenue, Essex, ON. Currently, the public only has access to the north and west entrances.

Attendees will learn about the importance of gardening with native plants, discover how to source them for their spring projects and learn about best practices for starting, planning and stewarding a sustainable native garden and habitat at home.

How To Crew Orientation

Consider joining the How To Crew this year!

How To Crew members participate in ERCA’s community restoration events as the team that supports the planting plan, provide tree planting demonstrations, assist with event logistics, monitor planting quality to ensure long term growth and survival and manage all equipment on site during the event.

How To Crew Orientation will take place on March 21st from 6:30pm to 8pm in Committee Room C (second floor) at the Essex Civic Centre, 360 Fairview Avenue, Essex, ON. Currently, the public only has access to the north and west entrances.

Shiver on the River 2023

Bundle up with us for another year of SHIVER ON THE RIVER Eco Fair on Saturday February 4 2023 from 10am to 3pm. This year the event will be hosted inside the beautiful Dossin Great Lakes Museum (100 The Strand, Detroit, MI 48207) on Belle Isle. This event is free, family friendly and will have food and entertainment all day, hope to see you there for a wintry celebration of our natural resources!
