Over 80 people joined us and Just Fishin' Friends at Riverdance Park, Town of LaSalle on July 6 to fish the Detroit River. The event was designed to provide fishing equipment and expertise so that the community could learn to fish. This Saturday! Join Essex Region Conservation, Detroit River Canadian Cleanup and Just Fishin' Friends for the upcoming Detroit River Family Fishing Day! We'll be at Riverdance Park in Town of LaSalle this Saturday from 8am to 1pm. Fishing equipment and bait will be available for public use for free. There are limited rods available. Participants are encouraged to bring their own rods (if they have them), folding chairs, a hat, sunscreen/bug spray, life jacket, reusable water bottle, snacks and plenty of patience while waiting for a bite!
